Our Methodology

At Horizons [Companies] we use the "5DS" methodology for the development of all our projects. This five-phase process of development and implementation includes a Discover, Define, Design, Develop and Deliver phase.

Discover [Success]
We facilitate an organized meeting with the Client to understand the vision, business goals and desired features needed for the success of the project. This process results in a summary document that describes our analysis and recommendations for a successful project

Define [Strategy]
Having distilled the large initial body of information into the essential goals of the project, this phase sees the creation of a roadmap to guide our work. It might take the form of a script, a storyboard, a rough composition or a Define Document, but this tool keeps us all on the same page and will prove to be the keys to managing your vision throughout the rest of the process.

Design [Solution]
Having defined the project, we enter the realm where technological sophistication meets creative, intuitive design. This is "the territory of the edge" at Horizons, where art and technology are skillfully blended. This phase will also see initial pre-production, interface design, 3D modeling or illustration as defined in the Discover and Define phases. Lastly, our internal refining process begins at this stage, as our teams review and critique each option, ensuring both usability and on-the-edge solutions for your needs.

Develop [Shape]
Once Design is complete, we Develop, produce and animate your project. During this phase we're shooting on location or in the studio, fleshing out graphic elements, rendering frames of animation, building databases, tweaking content, or weaving all the elements together with programming. Even during this phase, we must retain a degree of flexibility, because the world does not stand still while we work. We are also in constant touch with you, increasing our knowledge and understanding of your business and marketing objectives. This ensures that your product is fresh and relevant when it's delivered.

Deliver [Satisfaction]
During this final phase we test, edit, master, distribute and launch your project. When it's ready. Not before. We also begin the hosting, maintenance, and administration of your project
